Greater Noida is set to witness a transformative leap in urban mobility and logistics infrastructure with the recent approval of a dedicated Metro corridor connecting the Greater Noida Depot to the upcoming Multimodal Transport Hub (MMTH) at Bodaki. This 1.8-kilometer elevated Metro line, approved by the Greater Noida Authority in its 141st board meeting, is a crucial part of the city’s Master Plan 2041. The corridor will run along the 105-meter-wide arterial road, providing seamless last-mile connectivity for commuters and integrating the MMTH with the existing Noida-Greater Noida Metro network.
The MMTH is envisioned as a comprehensive passenger interchange, combining road-based transport systems, commercial spaces, and a railway station. It will serve as a central node for inter-state and local bus terminals, metro connectivity, retail, and hospitality, making it a one-stop solution for travelers and businesses alike. The hub is strategically positioned along the Delhi-Howrah railway line and will be linked to Knowledge Park I, the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, and NH-34, further enhancing regional connectivity.
Parallel to this, the Multimodal Logistics Hub (MMLH) at Bodaki is being developed across 311 hectares as a flagship project under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor. The MMLH will house warehouses, cold-chain facilities, container yards, offices, and truck terminals, creating a single-window logistics ecosystem. A new railway line will connect the MMLH to the Dedicated Freight Corridor near New Dadri station, enabling direct freight movement between Mumbai and Kolkata. This will significantly reduce transportation time and costs for industries, boosting Greater Noida’s appeal as a logistics and industrial hub.
These projects are being developed in partnership with the National Industrial Corridor Corporation and are part of a broader initiative that includes the Integrated Industrial Township. Many major firms have already been allotted plots in the township, and several industries are operational. The inclusion of the MMTH and MMLH in the Master Plan 2041 paves the way for connecting the transport hub with the metro line and the logistics hub with the railway line, ensuring integrated and efficient movement of both people and goods.
The development of these hubs is expected to attract significant investment, create employment opportunities, and position Greater Noida as a key logistics and business center in northern India. With improved connectivity and state-of-the-art infrastructure, Greater Noida is poised to become a model for smart urban planning and industrial growth in the region.
